The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Battlefield Area is on a mission to transform lives and communities through the power of sports and faith. We are seeking a passionate and visionary Sports Director to take the helm and guide our efforts across various sports environments, including Leagues, Clubs, Outdoor Sports, Motorsports, Action Sports, Pro & Elite Sports, and All Ability.


Position Overview

As the FCA Sports Director, you will be at the forefront of our ministry, charged with building and leading a dedicated team to expand our presence and impact. Your role will involve strategic planning, program development, community engagement, and spiritual mentorship. This position requires a leader who thrives on adventure, embraces challenges, and is deeply committed to their faith.


Key Responsibilities

  • Visionary Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand FCA’s presence across various sports environments. Inspire and motivate athletes, coaches, and volunteers to embody the values of faith, integrity, and excellence.
  • Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of staff and volunteers. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow both personally and spiritually.
  • Program Development: Design and oversee programs that integrate sports training with spiritual growth. Ensure that each sports environment is a platform for nurturing faith, building character, and fostering community.
  • Community Engagement: Establish and strengthen partnerships with schools, churches, businesses, and other community organizations. Promote FCA’s mission and values through events, outreach activities, and public speaking engagements.
  • Spiritual Mentorship: Serve as a spiritual leader and mentor to athletes, coaches, and volunteers. Provide guidance, support, and resources to help them grow in their faith and navigate the challenges of sports and life.


Qualifications

  • Faith-Driven: A committed believer in Christ with a passion for sharing the gospel and making disciples. Strong understanding of Christian principles and values.
  • Proven Leader: Demonstrated leadership experience in sports ministry, coaching, or a related field. Ability to inspire, guide, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with FCA’s mission and goals. Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent Communicator: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage and connect with athletes, coaches, parents, and community leaders.
  • Adventurous Spirit: Willingness to embrace new challenges, adapt to changing environments, and explore innovative ways to expand FCA’s reach.

There is extensive training and support for those who are called into the sports ministry. The Area Representative position is a fully committed calling to the ministry of FCA and is not designed to be a secondary position to another role or ministry.
