FCA Marketing Internship

MARKETING INTERNS OBJECTIVE:

As the Digital Marketing Intern, you will assist in the development and implementation of the Battlefield Area FCA digital and marketing communications plan. This could include SEO, Google Ads, Social Media, Paid Social Media, PR, Email Marketing, Content Marketing, and related MarCom roles.

REPORTS TO: Battlefield Area FCA Metro Director

GOAL: Provide a unique hands-on learning experience combining your marketing and communication skills with your love for sports and Jesus Christ. The Metro Area Director at the Battlefield FCA is a former owner of a Digital Marketing Agency, offering a unique opportunity to learn from an experienced digital marketer and communicator.

POSSIBLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Battlefield Area FCA social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram, and others as needed.
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence with both free and paid campaigns.
  • Manage and build various email lists and campaigns, including the design templates, calls-to-action, and content used in email sends.
  • Review both onsite and offsite SEO presence for battlefieldfca.org and make/implement recommendations for improvement.
  • Review/edit/implement strategies in paid marketing efforts of Battlefield FCA.
  • Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve our website experience for prospects, leads, and customers. Update/edit battlefieldfca.org.
  • Develop/review/edit the content marketing strategy.
  • Help brainstorm strategies for the Director to serve as an evangelist for our message, brand, and content through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking.
  • Create 1-2 free resources each month to drive leads (coaches, applicants, donors), subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include eBooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.).
  • Blog on an ongoing basis in support of your other projects and to attract site visitors through search, social, and our email subscribers.
  • Capture studio-quality video both at FCA camps & events plus in the office as projects dictate.
  • Shoot and edit content to build a library of testimony videos, hiring videos, and so on.
  • Identify and build relationships with prominent influencers and thought leaders in our space.
  • Brainstorm new, creative approaches to working closer with the influential members of our industry and serve as a go-to resource to the rest of the Battlefield FCA team.
  • Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.

  • Great attention to detail and project management skills. This role requires balancing several initiatives together.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to admit mistakes, learn and move on.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. You will be working with other ministry professionals and are expected to convey the culture and beliefs of FCA outward to our partners.
  • Proficient in Constant Contact and a bonus with SharpSpring.
  • A relentless drive for excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting written, visual, and video content.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
  • Bonus skills: HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite.


REQUIREMENTS

  • US Citizen.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Agree to the FCA Statement of Faith.
